Elections and Political Decisions in Austria

Austria has voted, resulting in the longest government formation in the history of the Second Republic. But what does that actually mean for our daily lives? In this lecture, we take an exciting look at the 2024 National Council election and its consequences. Who will govern, which issues will dominate, and how will the political balance of power change? We talk about voting behavior, new trends in the party landscape, and the influence of social media on political decisions. Why do people vote the way they do? What role do emotions, scandals, or promises play? And how do all these factors affect the future of the country? With understandable explanations, exciting facts, and a look behind the scenes, politics is made tangible. A lecture for everyone who wants to know what is really going on politically in Austria—and what that means for the next few years!
